Projects
Take a look at what projects I have created over the years
Upham Woods Website Design
Project Leader
Through coursework at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I had the opportunity to design and develop a fully functional, modern website for a client. This experience allowed me to apply my creative skills and technical knowledge to deliver a high-quality, user-friendly online presence that met the client's needs.

Composting Awareness Video
Video Editor
I had the opportunity to collaborate with a team to identify a contemporary scientific topic that required greater media attention and create a video aimed at increasing its visibility. This project allowed me to leverage my creativity in a new medium—video editing—while contributing to raising awareness of important scientific issues. My group focused on raising awareness of composting.
Social Media Strategy and Execution Report
Social Media Analyst
I got the opportunity to create a social media strategy and execution report. It was a dynamic and insightful experience that allowed me to showcase my expertise in digital marketing. Compiling the report involved synthesizing data from analytics tools, evaluating performance against predefined goals, and presenting actionable insights for future optimization. This process not only honed my analytical skills but also reinforced the importance of adaptability and strategic thinking in the ever-evolving landscape of social media marketing.

SCIENTICA Magazine Design
Lead Designer
In the magazine "Scientica," I designed and curated a comprehensive article titled "Exploring Iodine-131 in Nuclear Medicine." This magazine contains 6 pages: a cover and end page, table of contents, advertisement, article title, and article bulk pages. It showcases my article on the pivotal role of Iodine-131. Through compelling graphics, detailed charts, and engaging narratives, the magazine presents a clear understanding of how this isotope revolutionizes patient care, emphasizing both its benefits and safety considerations. My design aims to make complex scientific concepts approachable, ensuring that readers from diverse backgrounds can appreciate the advancements in nuclear medicine.

Exploring Iodine- 131 in Nuclear Medicine
Writer & Researcher
This paper I researched and wrote, provides a comprehensive review of radiation therapy, particularly iodine-131, as a treatment for hyperthyroidism. It begins by outlining the causes and implications of hyperthyroidism, and compares treatment options, including antithyroid drugs, surgery, and radioactive iodine therapy. The focus is on the effectiveness and safety of iodine-131, detailing its treatment planning, delivery, and patient suitability. The paper emphasizes the importance of patient education, counseling, and multidisciplinary collaboration to optimize treatment outcomes and address lifestyle adjustments. Finally, the paper links radiation therapy to broader public health concepts which highlights its significance in managing thyroid dysfunction and improving patient care.

The Exacerbation of Environmental Illness Symptoms by Epigenetic Influences
Writer & Researcher
This paper I researched and wrote explores the intricate relationship between particulate matter pollution and epigenetics, emphasizing how environmental factors can alter gene expression and exacerbate symptoms of environmental illnesses. By examining key epigenetic mechanisms—DNA methylation, histone modification, and microRNAs— I highlight how PM exposure contributes to diseases like asthma, cancer, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The paper discusses disparities in susceptibility across populations and advocates for targeted interventions.

UW- Rapid 3 Annual Comparisons
Creator
Through my internship I had the opportunity to work with current data in patient satisfaction rates and transform them into clear, informative graphs. This process involved analyzing survey results, then presenting the findings in visually engaging formats for the rheumatology team on a monthly basis. By presenting these insights, I contributed to the team's ongoing efforts to enhance patient care and overall service quality.

UW- Employee Onboarding
Creator
Through my internship I had the opportunity to assist in the reorganization and development of the new employee onboarding system. This involved collaborating with other members of the team to streamline processes, update training materials, and ensure that new hires had a smooth and efficient introduction to the division. My contributions helped enhance the onboarding experience, ensuring that new employees had the resources and support needed to succeed from day one.

D2D MLMP Capstone Project
Collaborator
In my time in the department of Environmental Science I got to partner with the UW-Madison Arboretum on creating a lesson plan that encapsulates the driven to discover framework developed by the University of Minnesota and to create a lesson plan for the Monarch Larva Monitoring Program that is ongoing at the arboretum.
